SlantShack Jerky began in 2009 under a slightly off-kilter apartment in New York City, where nine friends set out to create the jerky of their dreams with a deli slicer and home dehydrator. We’re committed to cooking up a snack that we’re proud to put our name on — one that is made from 100% grass-fed beef, organic herbs and spices, loads of fresh ginger and garlic and non-GMO, preservative free marinades.
Today, we partner with Vermont Highland Cattle Company, a family farm in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, where our jerky is handcrafted with a focus on quality, freshness and delicious flavor while promoting responsible food production practices.
We started SlantShack because we were sick and tired of jerky’s well-deserving (for the most part) bad rap. We wanted the good stuff, something other than Teriyaki, Black Pepper, Hickory-Smoked, etc. And we wanted to share our jerky with you, so here we are. We think it’s delicious and feel good eating it, we’re pretty sure you will too.
